Now classified as a Waldzither from the 18th C., this instrument was originally advertised for e-Bay auction as "A highly important early German or Swiss 'Halszither' (Cittern), ca. 1650, in all original condition, never restored, bridge missing, the peghead for 9 pegs, the pine top with cracks, a 2cm x 5cm piece of the top is missing, back and sides of pine with some cracks, scale 41.5 cm, nut 5cm.
